In August Douglas Bostock returned to the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (RBSO) for his second performance in 2024. He was with the orchestra in May for a programme of French music, including Saint-Saens 2nd Piano Concerto with the renowned Swiss pianist, Louis Schwizgebel. The August programme opened with a new overture by Thai National Artist, Narongrit Dhamabutra. The soloist in Glière's Harp Concerto was the French virtuoso, Emmanuel Ceysson. Sibelius' 1st Symphony was given a rousing performance after the intermission. Whilst in bangkok Douglas was also involved in the celebrations around the new partnership between the RBSO and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra.
