End of Season

The Southwest German Chamber Orchestra's 2022/2023 season was brought to a rousing end with a trio of concerts in Switzerland and South Germany. The final Subscription Concert was preceded by a performance at Lenzburg Castle in the Canton of Argau, Switzerland, where Douglas Bostock was Principal Conductor until 2019. Solist was the pianist, Oliver Schnyder in Mozart's Concerto No. 23. Oliver, who has partnered Douglas in numerous piano concertos, is the Intendant of the Lenzburgiade Festival. Beethoven's 2nd Symphony rounded off the programme.

A week later the orchestra performed the traditional "Insel-Klassik" concert on Douglas Bostock's home island of Reichenau on Lake Constance. A brilliant programme was enjoyed by a capacity audience.
